The owners of this large property in southwest Eugene wanted a pool and outdoor seating area added seamlessly into their existing garden. We took advantage of the natural contours of the yard and oriented the pool so it would have a “vanishing edge” as viewed from the house across the water down toward the lower levels of the yard. Then we oriented the outdoor sitting area with all the amenities perpendicular to the house at one end of the pool. This forms a spacious outdoor room within a lush, mature garden.
