We had an incredible day with our students for Sha

We had an incredible day with our students for Shadow Mentor Day 2024! Two students came to our studio to learn all about our process, and boy did we show them. The morning started off with some introductions to the studio and our various works. After a chat and looking at some drawings, we went out to @rexius_ to learn about soil and composting. From there we hit lunch at in Coburg before dropping in at some finished projects and one under active construction. Thanks to @asla.uoregon for all their work setting this up!

With some winter sun coming through, two of our favorite winter blooms are making their appearance! Winter Daphne (1 & 4) will keep its lovely pink-white blooms well into March, filling your garden with a sweet, calming scent. Hellebores (2 & 3) come in a wide variety of colors and tend to be one of the first signs of life for the coming spring. If you’re looking to add a pop of color to your winter evergreens, these two are proven winners for our dynamic PNW winters!

Even in the late winter, our landscapes are working just as hard as we are! Some of the earliest daffodils in Eugene started popping up around the house and office before the ice storm, and will continue to add color as the days get longer. Our firm is unique in the way we stay involved through project construction. We address project needs at a variety of scales from overall site drainage and handling stormwater to the perfect bench for a new seating area. Our design development phase solidifies the final design scheme into a set of working drawings that can be used to get bids and to create a project schedule. We work alongside contractors and engineers to ensure your ideas are being built to exact specification. We visit the site to check in and troubleshoot with the people building your vision. We are present for key moments during the construction to reinforce quality and care during every step.
